Short, because there is not much this site does: it shows you a checked list of restaurants, and a guide that answers about these few cities only.

What this site gives you

It gives you editorial judgement, not a guarantee. We put recent reviews, local discussion and authoritative records side by side and check them against each other, then give a judgement; the judgement can be wrong, and information goes out of date. Before making a special trip, please confirm the current details with the restaurant.

The AI guide answers only from material we have checked ourselves, and it gets things wrong too. For anything that matters — prices, opening hours, allergies, hygiene — the restaurant and the authoritative records are what count.

Accounts

This round is an invited beta; there is no self-service registration. An account is for one person — please do not pass it on to anyone else. You can delete your account at any time; what happens when you do is written up in the privacy notice.

Please do not

• Scrape the content here in bulk with scripts, or copy the whole thing into another site.
• Try to reach invite-only content by getting around the sign-in.
• Contact restaurants or other readers in this site’s name.

Who owns what

The words, the judgements and the illustrations on these pages are ours. The reviews, reporting and public records we quote belong to their original authors and institutions; we quote them only with the source stated. If you think some passage should not be here, write and tell us and we will deal with it.

Liability

This site is provided as it is. We do our best to check every line, but we cannot be responsible for how a meal at any given restaurant actually goes for you.

What happens if the terms change

This page, like every other page on the site, is generated from data by a build script — a change goes live with the next release. If you have a question, write to us: hello@localeatsclub.com.
